Privacy Policy

Lanterns is a puzzle game. It has no accounts, no friends lists, and no chat. This page says exactly what the game records, why, and who helps us do it.
What the game records
- An anonymous player ID. Created on your device, stored in your device's secure storage. It is not your name, email, or phone number — we never ask for those.
- Gameplay events. Rooms started and won, hearts lost, hints used, streaks, and similar. This is how we find broken puzzles and fix them.
- Purchase records. If you buy embers or a cosmetic, Apple processes the payment. We receive a transaction identifier so your purchase is delivered and restorable. We never see your card.
- Device basics. Device model, OS version, app version — attached to events and crash reports.
- Crash reports. If the game crashes, a technical report is sent so we can fix it.
- Ad attribution. If you arrived through an ad, an identifier from that ad click may be linked to your install so we know which ads work. On iOS, cross-app tracking identifiers are used only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Saying no changes nothing about the game.
- The web demo. If you play on our website, we record an anonymous session, the puzzle you solved, and a short transfer code so your progress can follow you into the app if you install it.
What we never collect
Your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or anything you'd need an account to give us. There is no account.
Who helps us
- Apple — payments, App Store, and the tracking-permission system.
- RevenueCat — validates purchases with Apple so items deliver and restore correctly.
- Layers — tells us which ad, if any, brought you here, and aggregates gameplay analytics.
- Amba — runs our backend: the daily leaderboard, event storage, and this website.
- Sentry — receives crash reports.
Each of these processes data on our behalf to run the game. We do not sell your data.
Your choices
- Tracking: the iOS prompt is the control. You can change it any time in Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
- Notifications: optional, and only ever set up if you ask for a reminder.
- Deletion: email support@10xv.xyz and we will delete the data tied to your anonymous ID. Deleting the app removes your local progress.
Children
Lanterns is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. There is nothing personal to give.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date.
